We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of Senior Software Engineer. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, debugging, and deployment of highly available applications. The ideal candidate will be a Java developer who is comfortable handling new challenges involving emerging technologies. They will be able to address mission-critical application diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute at a senior level to a team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of critical business applications
• Work within Agile software development methodologies
• Create and maintain technical design documentation
• Conduct research, analysis, coding, debugging, and testing
• Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented development environment
• Perform QA testing on all code
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards
• Demonstrate strong time management skills
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain a consistent focus on delivering high-quality outputs on schedule

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with technologies such as Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Ant, Maven, Angular, TypeScript
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Cloud Technologies
• Proficiency in GNU/Linux, Shell Scripting, Python
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, microservices development, and distributed systems
• Experience with IoT technologies, including AWS IoT (Shadow, Greengrass) and MQTT, is a plus
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL), as well as familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
• Experience with version control software, such as Git
• Full understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle, with experience using tools like Jira and Confluence
• Solid object-oriented design and programming skills, with working knowledge of design patterns

Location: Remote

Compensation: $130,000—$165,000 USD

Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
