Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the LatticeOS team, designing core platform services, middleware, and operating system components for onboard autonomous vehicles and edge devices. • Experience building software solutions involving high‑throughput data processing, transport, or system orchestration.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
• A desire to work on critical infrastructure software with real‑world impact.

About The Job

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the LatticeOS team, where you will design and develop the core platform services, middleware, and operating system components running onboard autonomous vehicles and edge devices. • Proficiency with protocol design, serialization, and implementation (e.g., gRPC, Protobuf, Zenoh, DDS).
• Experience building software solutions involving high‑throughput data processing, transport, or system orchestration.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work across multiple cross‑functional engineering teams.
• A desire to work on critical infrastructure software that has a real‑world impact.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing operating systems, middleware, SDKs, or developer platforms.
• Background in developing systems for defense, aerospace, robotics, or other mission‑critical applications.
• Familiarity with software development for embedded systems, Linux internals, or resource‑constrained environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed communication networks, routing, and modern messaging standards.

US Salary Range

$191,000—$253,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
