Job summary

Nexxen is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the DSP Software Development team in a hybrid role based in San Carlos, CA. You will design, implement, and operate large-scale, low-latency backend services for programmatic advertising, mentor engineers, and apply SRE principles while collaborating with product teams.

We require 7+ years of Java backend experience, JVM tuning, distributed computing, and strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, real-time streaming, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes,

Job description

The Senior Software Engineer will join the Nexxen DSP Software Development team as a senior technical contributor and trusted leader on mission‑critical, high‑throughput services. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and operating large-scale, low‑latency backend services for programmatic advertising. The role requires ownership of complex initiatives, mentoring engineers, applying SRE principles, and collaborating with product and cross‑functional teams. Candidates must have 7+ years of experience with Java backend systems, JVM tuning, distributed computing, SQL and NoSQL databases, real‑time streaming technologies, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience in Agile/DevOps environments, strong communication skills, and interest in AdTech and AI applications are required.

Location & Salary

The position is hybrid, based in San Carlos, CA, with a salary range of $170,000 to $200,000.
