The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who thinks about the whole system, not just the code.

You should be comfortable leading technical design and mentoring other engineers. Location: Remote within the following locations: DC, FL, GA, MD, TX, VA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Java, C#, Python or a similar language.
• Experience with software design patterns, APIs and relational databases.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and Agile development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Designs software architecture and components for new and existing systems.
• Develops, tests and deploys high-quality production code.
• Leads technical design reviews and code reviews.
• Improves system performance, scalability and security.
• Builds and maintains automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentors software engineers and shares best practices.
• Works with product, test and operations teams to deliver releases.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms, containers and microservices.

• Experience supporting federal government contracts.

Compensation

$85,850 – $95,389 per year
