Job description

ResMed has always applied the best of technology to improve people's lives. Now our SaaS technology is fueling a new era in the healthcare industry, with dynamic systems that change the way people receive care in settings outside of the hospital-and tools that work every day to help people stay well, longer. We have one of the largest actionable datasets in the industry, creating a complete view of people as they move between care settings. This is how we empower providers-with vital insight to deliver the care people need, right when they need it.

We're also ensuring that our health solutions connect to other companies' networks. Because when objectives align, everyone wins. And as we work today to drive better care and lower costs, we're developing more personalized solutions for tomorrow, utilizing machine learning, intelligent care paths, and predictive protocols. If you are an innovator who wants to make an impact we want to talk to you! We have exciting opportunities supporting Brightree by ResMed and MatrixCare by ResMed!

Brightree, a ResMed company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Brightree Resupply engineering team. This role plays a critical part in scaling the SNAP product to broader market, supporting key and highly prioritized initiatives.

As an experienced software engineer, you will work closely with business and technical leaders to refine our technical direction and product strategy while delivering data-driven, intelligent solutions that improve patient outcomes in the HME industry.

The ideal candidate is a strong technologist with an ownership mindset who takes pride in designing scalable system architectures and driving innovation. You are a collaborative team player, eager to work across disciplines, mentor junior developers, and deliver high‑quality, resilient, and high‑scale distributed systems that have a direct impact on our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead architecture discussions, designing highly scalable, performant, and resilient software solutions in a cloud-native environment.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of software components from design to deployment, ensuring system reliability and maintainability.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects, including cost and toil reduction, technical debt reduction, and system refactoring.
  • Design data‑centric architectures, treating data as a first‑class citizen for secure transport, storage, and analytics.
  • Champion a quality‑first approach, implementing unit tests, automation frameworks, and robust functional testing.
  • Identify codebase and system design gaps, setting and maintaining high‑quality engineering standards through code, security, and design reviews.
  • Enhance product scalability and self‑service capabilities, ensuring efficient onboarding and customer adoption.
  • Take an active role in mentoring junior engineers, sharing technical expertise, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Support hiring efforts, participating in interviews and attracting top engineering talent.

  • Expertise in ASP.NET, including Razor, WebForms, Web API, WCF, JavaScript, CSS, and caching services.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server (T‑SQL/SQL) in a high‑volume transaction environment.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and operating applications in AWS, with a strong understanding of key AWS services and tools.
  • 2+ years of experience developing front‑end applications using React or React Native.
  • Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and zero‑downtime deployments.
