Job summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a classified role at Tinker AFB, OK. A TS/SCI clearance is required. You will support the Airworthiness processes and lifecycle engineering for USAF programs, applying software, security, and cyber concepts to defense systems.

Responsibilities include requirements support, design and documentation review, program briefings, and engagement with DoD processes. Bachelor-level degree and DoD experience are mandatory.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in DoD programs and ACAT I environments is preferred.
• Current TS/SCI clearance is required.

• Review and evaluate weapon system design documentation and reports.

Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support a classified position located at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. Must have a TS/SCI clearance. This individuall will a ssist with execution of the USAF Airworthiness process per MIL-HDBK-516 and the AF Life-Cycle Systems Engineering (LCSE) and Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) processes as prescribed by AFMCI 63-1201 . They will apply an understanding of business/mission systems that support Program Office capabilities to as they relate to software engineering, software security, and cyber (IA) security to support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs.

• Support requirements development, allocation, and verification.
• Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports.
• Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs.
• Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed.
• Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
• Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates.
• Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested
• Support development and review of the full range of documentation and products required by DoDI 5000.02.
• Bachelor’s in related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
• Review/develop/update applicable program documentation for software engineering relevant requirements.
• Support the development of the software development strategy and Software Development Plan.
• Support the tasks required to design, develop, integrate, and field Integrated Functional Capabilities (IFCs).

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years of relevant DoD experience and an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Five (5) of these years must be in a DoD acquisition program as either a sub-system or system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I (or equivalent) special access program office.
• Two (2) years of DoD SAP engineering experience prior to selection for employment under this contract.
• Knowledge of software engineering in support of the design, development, Test and Evaluation (T&E), implementation, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing software systems.
• Current TS/SCI clearance
