Job summary

ICONMA's client in O'Fallon, MO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build a cloud-native payment orchestration platform. You will contribute across frontend, backend, and AI-native features, working with AWS, Kubernetes, and ARM64 deployment.

You will develop Golang and Python FastAPI microservices, integrate mobile SDKs, and deploy on ECS with Fargate. Expect rapid POCs, collaboration with Mastercard-acquired startup engineers, and hands-on access to AWS cloud and AI runtimes.

Qualifications

• Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Backend experience in Java or Golang.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build a cloud-native payment orchestration platform enabling cardholders to access digital services via banking apps.
• Work on the Priceless Platform Engineering stack for World, World Elite, and World Legend products on AWS across regions.
• Develop microservices in Golang and Python FastAPI, and deploy on ECS using Fargate on ARM64.
• Integrate mobile SDKs with backend APIs and troubleshoot end-to-end integration issues across mobile, backend, and cloud layers.
• Leverage AI-native engineering with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore where applicable.

Job description

Our Client, a Credit Card company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for their O'Fallon, MO/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities

• Building a cloud-native payment orchestration platform that enables cardholders to seamlessly access Client digital services directly through their banking applications via a single, streamlined integration.


• We are the Priceless Platform Engineering team, building and operating solutions for affluent Client cardholders across World, World Elite, and World Legend products. Operating with a startup mindset, the team requires multidisciplinary engineering skills spanning front-end, backend, cloud, platform, and AI-native engineering. We run the global Priceless Platform on AWS across four regions.


• The team is primarily responsible for Cloud, Backend, and AI-native Engineering, requiring strong hands-on AWS expertise and backend engineering experience building microservices in Golang and deploying them on Amazon ECS using Fargate on ARM64 architecture.


• The role also involves integrating mobile SDKs with backend APIs and troubleshooting complex end-to-end integration issues across mobile front ends, backend microservices, AWS ECS, and AgentCore Runtime environments.


• AI-native engineering experience with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore is an important part of the team’s evolving technology foundation.


• Build scalable, domain driven microservices using Golang and Python FastAPI, integrating backend APIs with mobile SDKs to establish a reliable orchestration layer.


• Deploy and operate cloud-native services on AWS ECS, Fargate, and ARM64 on AWS Graviton, with hands-on infrastructure provisioning and automation using CloudFormation and Terraform.


• Build and integrate AI-native capabilities using Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore Runtime, with end-to-end troubleshooting across mobile, backend, cloud infrastructure, and AI runtime layers.


• Note: This role will focus on rapid POCs and prototyping, working closely with engineers from a Mastercard-acquired startup and provide broad access to AWS Cloud and AI environments for hands-on experimentation. The engineer is expected to independently build, deploy, run, troubleshoot, and demonstrate end-to-end solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
