The candidate will lead the enterprise reporting solutions partnering with Data Architects, Data Product Owners, business stakeholders, leadership, and engineering team members.

What you will do:
  • Provide technical leadership for report discovery, assessment, consolidation, modernization, migration, and decommissioning.

  • Collaborate with Data Product Owners and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, business rules, usage patterns, and critical data dependencies.

  • Perform source-to-target analysis and document data lineage, transformation rules, report dependencies, and reconciliation requirements.

  • Ensure migrated reports maintain functional accuracy and consistency with legacy report outputs.

  • Define testing and validation approaches, including data reconciliation, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.

  • Identify and resolve data quality, report performance, and platform integration issues.

  • Establish reusable reporting patterns, development standards, templates, and technical best practices.

  • Support governance processes related to report ownership, access control, auditability, data classification, retention, and lifecycle management.

  • Lead technical discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting sessions.

  • Mentor engineers and provide guidance on modern reporting, cloud data platforms, SQL optimization, and software engineering practices.

What you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in software engineering, enterprise reporting, business intelligence, data warehousing, or data analytics.

  • Strong experience designing, developing, supporting, or modernizing enterprise reporting solutions.

  • Hands‑on experience with cloud data warehouses, data analytics platforms, relational databases, advanced SQL development, and query optimization.

  • Working knowledge of legacy reporting technologies.

  • Experience analyzing legacy reports, underlying SQL, stored procedures, data sources, business rules, schedules, and downstream dependencies.

  • Strong understanding of reporting architecture, data pipelines, semantic models, metadata management, and data lineage.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex data discrepancies and reconcile report outputs across legacy and modern platforms.

  • Experience working in Agile software delivery environments.

  • Strong technical leadership, problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with Data Architects, Data Product Owners, business stakeholders, leadership, engineers, analysts, and other team members.

What will set you apart:
  • Experience with modern business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, or equivalent technologies.

  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, CloudWatch, or related services.

  • Experience with data transformation and orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, or equivalent platforms.
