Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and development of large-scale systems and applications. You will mentor junior developers, drive best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on challenging projects.

Experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and AI integration, plus strong data system design skills, are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years as a Software Engineer focusing on designing and building complex, scalable systems
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, algorithms, and system architecture
• Ability to lead technical discussions, make critical decisions, and drive consensus among team members
• Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Senior Software Engineer, this professional will lead the design and development of entire computer systems and application software. They will leverage their expertise to create scalable and robust solutions, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices across the development team. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of our business. Must maintain all certifications as required by local professional associations.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Contribute to architectural discussions, make design decisions, and ensure that the overall software architecture aligns with business goals and industry best practices.
• Solve complex technical problems and make critical decisions related to technology selection, system architecture, and project planning.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the development team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
• Strong Cloud Experience (Azure & AWS)
• Experience with AI agent code development and integration into products
• Data system design and Architecture experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, and 3+ years as a Software Engineer with a focus on designing and building complex, scalable systems.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, algorithms, and system architecture.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, make critical decisions, and drive consensus among team members.
• Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.

Salary Range: $120 - 150K
