Job summary

Merge Labs, a leading provider of agentic tools and customer-facing integrations, is hiring backend and full-stack engineers in New York. We seek mid- to senior-level developers to tackle challenges across the stack, including Merge Gateway.

Roles require 5-7+ years of experience and success in fast-paced SaaS environments. The team collaborates on roadmaps, architecture, and delivering production-grade code while enabling top-notch developer experiences for dashboards, docs, APIs, and SDKs.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
• Experience with frameworks (Django, Rails, Spring, React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred).
• Ability to perform in a fast paced environment and deal with ambiguity.
• Startup or SaaS experience preferred.
• Experience with design systems, modern styling, and frontend testing practices a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in roadmapping and architecture discussions.
• Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, maintainable code.
• Lead large projects from initial inception to production.
• Unblock and support your team of peers including engineers, designers, product managers, and business operators.
• Interact with customers to solve customer problems.
• Build a best in class developer experience for Merge’s dashboard, docs, APIs and SDKs.

Who are we looking for?

We are hiring backend and full stack engineers our Engineering teams here in New York. These teams tackle a variety of technical challenges across the tech stack, from product engineering to runtime orchestration, with a heavy focus on our newest products like Merge Gateway. We are hiring for mid - to staff - level positions, with candidate evaluation based on a combination of relevant experience and performance in the interview process.

What you will do:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with frameworks (Django, Rails, Spring, React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.)

Compensation

• The cash compensation range for this role is $190,000 - $235,000
• Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all full time employees receive an equity compensation package
