Job summary

Merge Labs in New York City is seeking an Integration Engineer to own the technical lifecycle of integrations with our API providers. This high-visibility, hands-on role is based in NYC five days a week and involves collaborating across partnerships, engineering, post-sales, and product.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in engineering, a CS background, and experience with APIs. You will help design the Integrations Engineering function and contribute to data quality and tooling initiatives,

Qualifications

• 1+ years in engineering roles, startup exposure preferred.
• Strong technical problem solving with CS background or engineering orientation.
• Prior API and integrations experience is a plus.
• Able to work cross-functionally, debug APIs, and write documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and lifecycle of integrations with API providers.
• Collaborate with partnerships, engineering, post-sales, and product on enterprise-grade integrations.
• Advocate for Integration Engineering needs and lead data quality and tooling projects.

We are looking to grow our Integration Engineering team to help extend our reach across 7 categories in new and unprecedented ways!

This is a high visibility, high ownership role that plays a crucial part in Merge’s mission of powering integrations for all B2B companies. This role is perfect for someone who has a technical background and coding abilities, but also enjoys business-oriented problem solving at heart. We are looking for experienced engineers who are able to autonomously drive initiatives to improve the overall product experience.

What you will do:

• Own the technical strategy and execution lifecycle of integrations with our API providers - ideation, development, launch, and beyond

• Work cross-functionally with partnerships, engineering, post-sales, and product to deliver enterprise-grade integrations & expand Merge's coverage across 7 categories

• Internally advocate for Integration Engineering needs, and lead projects related to data quality and internal tooling

• Help design the Integrations Engineering function at Merge - what it's responsible for, how it interfaces with other teams, and how it'll grow and develop over time

The ideal candidate will have

• 1+ years in engineering roles, preferably with startup exposure

• Strong technical understanding and problem solving, preferably in the form of a prior Computer Science background or other engineering orientation

• Prior experience with APIs and integrations is a plus

• Ability to manage responsibilities across different areas such as working cross functionally, debugging and building on APIs, or writing documentation

• Bias to action & preference for being hands on -- Integrations Engineers work on powering mission-critical integrations for our customers, so we’re not afraid to jump in and become owners!

• Strong communication skills, adept at interfacing with different audiences and communicating complex technical concepts

Compensation

• The cash compensation range for this role is $115,000 - $145,000

• Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all full time employees receive an equity compensation package.
