Job summary

Asseta, an AI-native operating system for UHNWIs and family offices, seeks a Senior Software Engineer in New York City. You will design and ship core features of the Intelligent Family Office Suite, owning end-to-end product areas and collaborating with product and implementation teams to deliver reliable software for complex wealth-management workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production software.
• Strong full-stack skills with Python, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience building scalable, cloud-native SaaS, ideally on AWS.
• Solid understanding of databases, distributed systems, testing, and secure coding practices.
• Ability to work independently, own features end-to-end, and collaborate across functions.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across the platform, from backend services to user-facing experiences.
• Own significant product areas end-to-end, including scoping, implementation, testing, and delivery.
• Build and maintain integrations with banking and third-party systems.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.

The Opportunity

Asseta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to report to our Lead Software Engineer and Chief Technology Officer. You'll design and build the features at the heart of the Intelligent Family Office Suite™, owning meaningful product areas end-to-end. Working closely with product and implementation teams, you'll ship production software that directly shapes how clients manage their accounting and investment operations.

As a Senior Software Engineer, You Will

• Design, build, and ship features across the platform, from backend services to polished user-facing experiences
• Own significant product areas end-to-end, scoping, implementation, testing, and delivery
• Build and maintain integrations with banking and third-party systems
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate actively in code review
• Collaborate with product and implementation teams to turn family office workflows into reliable software
• Contribute to architecture decisions and help continuously improve engineering practices
• Help uphold high standards for security, performance, and data integrity across the platform

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production software
• Strong full-stack skills, with proficiency in Python, modern API design, React, and TypeScript
• Experience building scalable, cloud-native SaaS products, ideally on AWS
• Solid understanding of databases, distributed systems, testing, and secure coding practices
• Ability to work independently, own features end-to-end, and collaborate across functions
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in fintech, accounting software, or family office/wealth management is a plus
