Job Description:

A top audio entertainment company known for its diverse subscription and ad-supported offerings across brands. They provide compelling content in music, sports, news, and more, shaping the future of audio entertainment. They are looking for a Senior Java / AWS Developer.

Position Summary:

This position involves bringing knowledge, ideas, and proposals to solve business problems within the AWS Well Architected Framework. The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions based on AWS best practices, focusing on developing features using AWS native services and frameworks. The role includes leveraging Architecture Decision Records, driving innovation with AWS primitives, contributing to decision-making, creating knowledge bases, and proposing new solutions.

Technical Skills:

• Java/Spring Boot 5+ years
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Fargate
• Experience with AWS Kinesis and other data streaming services
• Experience with DynamoDB and other NoSQL databases
• Experience developing GitHub Action workflows
• Experience with TypeScript-based CI/CD scripts
• Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Experience with performance monitoring and log analysis (AWS CloudWatch, DataDog)
• SQL and database knowledge (preferred)
• Basic Linux/UNIX experience (preferred)
• Experience with large-scale web applications
• Internationalization experience (preferred)
• Agile Scrum team experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Shape new product features with technical insights
• Suggest alternative technologies and solutions
• Develop code using AWS primitives conforming to architecture standards
• Create GitHub Action workflows for CI/CD
• Ensure applications are scalable and support high traffic
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance
• Collaborate with business and development teams
• Conduct testing in line with architecture
• Implement DevOps practices including automated testing and continuous deployment
• Resolve technical challenges and promote best practices
• Recommend tools and utilities for web application development and management
• Perform code reviews for standards compliance
• Support and coach team members

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience
• 5+ years of practical application development experience
• 2+ years using AWS primitives like Lambda, EC2, Fargate, etc.
• AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect (preferred)
