Job summary

Fitch Group in New York, NY seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack, to join our NYC office on a hybrid basis. You will design and deploy cloud-native financial apps, build GenAI backends in Python, and integrate AWS Bedrock services within agile teams serving the BMI business.

Ideal candidates have extensive distributed systems experience, strong Python and GenAI skills, and the ability to lead offshore teams while collaborating with global tech staff in a financial services setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing distributed application architecture of moderate-to-high complexity.
• 5+ years in python, vector database, FASTAPI, Pytest, Docker.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of Langchain, Langgraph, Agent development, MCP.
• Experience with GenAI/RAG, Agentic RAG.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgresSql.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Bedrock service, embedding models, Re-ranker, Doclinq.
• Experience in working with scrum, keeping track of your sprint item in JIRA and completing everything on time.
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Ability to lead offshore team
• Experience working with multicultural global technology teams in the financial industry
• Exceptionally self-motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with modern data architecture and engineering technologies
• Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.

Fitch Group is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack based out of our NYC office.

Fitch Group Technology has a number of agile teams that deliver world-class innovative solutions to Fitch Group internal and external customers. This position will be within one of our agile teams delivering software products for our BMI business.

What You Need to Have:

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $140,000 and $150,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
