Base pay range

$185,000.00/yr - $205,000.00/yr

Position Overview

This position supports the development and maintenance of simulation-based applications for an XVA (Valuation Adjustment) desk, along with other front, middle, and back-office teams across multiple global locations. The role is focused on the design, development, and optimization of internal and third-party software solutions used for credit risk analysis and financial modeling. The position also includes oversight of technical strategy and architectural design, ensuring system stability and high availability in a mission-critical environment.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Must reside within reasonable commuting distance to the designated office location (hybrid work schedule).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, with demonstrated experience in software development and scripting automation.
  • Practical experience with XVA or credit risk systems, and familiarity with associated financial products.
  • Prior involvement in software architecture design, system integration, and troubleshooting of production systems.
  • Strong background in mathematical finance and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps methodologies, and change management practices.
  • Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain simulation platforms and analytical tools to support valuation adjustment calculations and risk analysis.
  • Provide architectural oversight and drive implementation of new features and system enhancements in both proprietary and vendor systems.
  • Conduct performance tuning and process optimization for mission-critical applications.
Support & Maintenance
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production environments, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements.
  • Manage deployment and integration of new products or enhancements with minimal disruption to users.
  • Provide ongoing support for internal and third-party tools, including documentation and technical guidance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders including trading desks, risk teams, and IT operations across global offices to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Assist in user support and respond to inquiries related to credit risk and financial analysis functions.
  • Participate in development meetings, task assignments, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance development environments and system capabilities.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team capability building.
  • Liaise with external vendors as needed to deploy and maintain product solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Hands‑on experience in financial software development, ideally within a trading or risk management environment.
  • Solid understanding of data transfer protocols, infrastructure design, and security principles for financial applications.
  • Familiarity with high availability and recovery solutions in enterprise systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative or technical discipline.
  • Direct experience working on XVA platforms or credit valuation frameworks.
  • Background in working with global financial institutions or across multi-region teams.
  • Experience training or mentoring team members in software or system design best practices.
