Senior Software Engineer

OBIX - Remote

We are looking for individuals with proven experience in software development, design, and architecture to help us provide new solutions and enhancements to our industry leading, FDA-regulated healthcare software suite. As part of the team, you will be designing and implementing new products and modules and enhancing existing products while keeping a strong focus on the customers’ requirements and quality assurance. We highly value team members who can communicate clearly and concisely, and who work to build a positive and enjoyable workplace.

What Will Your Impact Be

1. Communicate with product managers to define product requirements
2. Work with the Engineering team to design and implement products
3. Requirements analysis
4. Provide HTML front-end design and documentation
5. Participate in design reviews
6. Estimate project timelines
7. Implement solutions
8. Test and fix bugs
9. Develop related design documentation
10. Assist technical/support staff with technical materials and instructions
11. Work with Software V & V Team Lead on testing oversight
12. Support customer requests and issues
13. Provide sales support as needed
14. Assist Clinical Implementation as needed

What We Are Looking For

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related field
2. Proven experience in developing complex software systems using OOD methodologies
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. 7+ years of programming experience
5. Experience with object-oriented development using Python, C++ in Linux and/or Windows environments
6. Experience with web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, etc. (preferred)
7. Experience with databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
8. Experience with Networking/Client-Server architectures and Operating Systems
9. Familiarity with Mobility applications
10. Solid documentation skills
11. Experience in regulated industries (preferred)
12. Ability to understand complex business concepts and translate them into technical solutions
13. Ability to analyze and interpret Information Systems data
14. Structured and reasoned thinking
15. Attention to detail to identify and resolve glitches
