Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Naperville, IL to design, develop, and own scalable software features and systems. You will lead design discussions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor peers while contributing to the adoption of modern cloud-native practices.

Experience with C#, Python, Angular, and SQL is required, along with hands-on API development and distributed systems skills.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable software applications and services
• Experience developing APIs, integrating systems, and working with distributed applications
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, system design principles, and application security
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks, including C#, Python, Angular, and SQL

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex software features and systems with a focus on scalability, maintainability, security, and performance

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Naperville, IL. Key Responsibilities:

• Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement complex software features and systems with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, security, and performance


• Own technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support


• Lead technical design discussions, evaluate architectural options, and recommend solutions that align with business and technical requirements


• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA professionals, and engineering teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions


• Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and distributed systems that support reliable application functionality


• Monitor application performance using logs, metrics, and analytics to identify issues and improve system reliability


• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions that improve application performance and stability

Requirements

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
