Our client, an innovative medical device company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong C# and Python experience to join their engineering team. This individual will contribute to software development, architecture, technical leadership, and the continued improvement of engineering practices within a regulated environment.

This is a hands-on senior-level role where the ideal candidate will bring approximately 10–15 years of C# experience and the ability to operate at an architectural level. Medical device experience is highly preferred, but candidates must have the required C# and Python background. Because of the company's small-team environment, the ideal candidate will be both technically deep and well-rounded, with the ability to wear multiple hats and positively influence team collaboration and agile practices.

Day-to-Day

• Design, develop, debug, and support complex software systems using C# and Python.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical design, and key engineering decisions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other software engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and troubleshooting of complex issues.
• Help strengthen agile practices, collaboration, and communication across the engineering team.
• Contribute to software requirements, design documentation, verification, and traceability.
• Partner with Quality and cross-functional teams to support development within a regulated environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, documentation, and team practices.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Approximately 10–15 years of Python and C# software development experience preferred.
• Experience working at an architectural or technical leadership level.
• Experience developing complex, integrated software systems.
• Medical device or other regulated industry experience highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a small-team environment and wear multiple hats.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, software traceability, or other regulated development practices is a plus.
