Senior Software Engineer
OBIX - Remote

We are looking for individuals with proven experience in software development, design, and architecture to help us provide new solutions and enhancements to our industry-leading, FDA-regulated healthcare software suite. As part of the team, you will be designing and implementing new products and modules and enhancing existing products while keeping a strong focus on the customers’ requirements and quality assurance. We highly value team members who can communicate clearly and concisely, and who work to build a positive and enjoyable workplace.

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in the US.

Preference will be given to East Coast candidates.

What Will Your Impact Be

1. Communicate with product managers to define product requirements
2. Work with the Engineering team to design and implement products
3. Requirements analysis
4. Product design and design documentation, including HTML front-end design
5. Design reviews
6. Project estimation
7. Implementation
8. Testing and bug fixing
9. Develop design documentation related to software development
10. Assist technical and support staff to develop technical materials and instructions for support personnel
11. Work closely with Software V & V Team Lead in assisting and overseeing a testing team
12. Assist Technical Services with customer requests and issues
13. Provide sales support as needed
14. Assist Clinical Implementation as needed

What We Are Looking For

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering-related field
2. Proven background in developing complex software systems using OOD methodologies
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. 7+ years of programming experience
5. Experience with object-oriented development using Python, C++ in Linux and/or Windows environments
6. Good to have experience in web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, etc.
7. Experience with databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
8. Experience with Networking/Client Server and Operating Systems
9. Familiarity with Mobility applications
10. Solid documentation experience
11. Experience in a regulated industry preferred
12. Ability to understand complex business concepts and translate them into technical solutions
13. Ability to analyze and capture information systems data
14. Reasoned, structured thinking
15. Attention to detail in identifying glitches and offering resolutions
