Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of complete software systems and applications. You will mentor junior developers and drive best practices across the team, tackling challenging projects with cross-functional collaboration.

Expect hands-on architecture work, strong cloud experience (Azure & AWS), and an emphasis on scalable data systems, AI integration, and rigorous code reviews. Flexible work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years as a Software Engineer building complex, scalable systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, algorithms, and system architecture.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and drive consensus among team members.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architectural discussions, make design decisions, and ensure alignment with business goals and best practices.
• Solve complex technical problems and guide technology selection, system architecture, and project planning.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Leverage cloud expertise (Azure & AWS) and experience with AI agent development and integration.
• Design data systems and architectures to support scalable product requirements.

As a Senior Software Engineer, this professional will lead the design and development of entire computer systems and application software. They will leverage their expertise to create scalable and robust solutions, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices across the development team. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of our business. Must maintain all certifications as required by local professional associations.
Responsibilities & Duties

• Contribute to architectural discussions, make design decisions, and ensure that the overall software architecture aligns with business goals and industry best practices.
• Solve complex technical problems and make critical decisions related to technology selection, system architecture, and project planning.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the development team.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
• Strong Cloud Experience (Azure & AWS)
• Experience with AI agent code development and integration into products
• Data system design and Architecture experience.

Requirements

Salary Range: $120 - 150K
