Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team and contribute to architecture, application modernization, cloud adoption, AI integration, and enterprise solution delivery across business‑critical platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and support enterprise applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET 8+, Web APIs, and Microservices
• Lead modernization initiatives involving IBM i (AS400/RPG/RPGLE/DB2) systems and integration with modern technology platforms
• Design and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, stored procedures, indexing, and ETL processes
• Implement AI‑powered solutions using Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Generative AI, AI Agents, and Machine Learning services
• Develop and maintain scalable cloud‑native applications on Microsoft Azure
• Define architecture standards, security best practices, and development frameworks
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Lead development teams, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers
• Drive DevOps adoption, CI/CD automation, and application lifecycle management

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft technologies (C#, or .Net framework
• 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• 1+ year of Agentic AI tool experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ASP.NET MVC/Core, REST APIs, Entity Framework, LINQ or Visual Studio
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T‑SQL, Query Optimization, Performance Tuning or DB2
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes or CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or AI Governance and Security

Education

• Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

• The typical pay range for this role is:
• $101,970.00 - $203,940.00
• This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
