Job summary

GIGATEC Engineering is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and sustain a mission-focused web application running in a containerized Linux/Kubernetes environment. You will work with Product Owners, System Engineers, and other Software Engineers to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and improve critical software capabilities.

The role requires hands-on experience with Linux, Python, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, SQL, REST, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

Experience using the Linux CLI and tool suite.
Experience developing Bash/Python scripts.
Experience developing with Python in a Linux environment.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes.
Experience with SQL technologies such as MySQL.
Experience with designing and implementing REST interfaces.
Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI.
Experience with Git source control system.

Responsibilities

As the Senior Software Engineer, build and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application deployed in a containerized Kubernetes Linux environment.
Collaborate with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Software Engineers to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and enhance critical software capabilities.
