Job description

ScaleAdvantage Corp is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can turn wildly-collaborative ideas about Analytical Thinking into something a customer never has to think about. The center of gravity here is ownership — $91,000 - $123,000 and a contract schedule orbit it, and 5 years gets you in the door.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate AWS tradeoffs with product when ScaleAdvantage Corp timelines and reality collide
• Reverse-engineer the quietly-excellent Webpack format ScaleAdvantage Corp inherited and never documented
• Map data flow across ScaleAdvantage Corp's Analytical Thinking services and spot the leaks
• Investigate, diagnose, and fix bugs reported by users and monitoring tools
• Write the Webpack integration tests that catch regressions before Columbus, GA ships them
• Design, build, and maintain reliable backend services using TypeScript and Google Cloud

What You'll Bring

• Comfort interpreting data and translating findings into clear recommendations
• The discipline to document while it's fresh, not after it's forgotten
• Senior fluency in Ruby, with MySQL on your roadmap
• Comfort steering technology conversations toward a decision
• Proven TypeScript results, ideally seasoned in Columbus, GA
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Cross-functional ease, from Ruby engineers to Professionalism marketers

Plenty of firms claim to do technology; ScaleAdvantage Corp actually does it, and from Columbus no less, with an unpretentious stubbornness about quality. We swap Professionalism and TypeScript tips over lunch because nobody here pretends to know it all.

• $91,000 - $123,000
• performance bonuses
• comprehensive insurance
• the freedom to shape how and where you work.

Hiring as we speak in Columbus, with daily reviews still underway.
