The successful candidate will take ownership of key software development activities, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, develop, integrate and maintain mission‑critical ground systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ground software supporting spacecraft command and control, telemetry processing and mission operations.
• Develop scalable, reliable software applications using Python, C++ and other relevant programming languages.
• Build and enhance real‑time telemetry processing, data management and visualisation capabilities.
• Support the integration of ground station infrastructure and spacecraft communication interfaces.
• Develop automated monitoring, testing and operational tools to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with flight software, systems engineering and hardware teams to ensure successful software integration.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues, optimise system performance and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong professional software engineering experience, ideally within complex or mission‑critical technical environments.
• Proficiency in Python, C++ or Java, with experience developing and maintaining production-quality software.
• Experience working with Linux‑based systems.
• Understanding of software architecture, debugging, integration testing and software development best practices.
• Experience with backend development, networking, distributed systems or automated software infrastructure.
