Job summary

BN, an Augeo company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead full-stack development of our social advertising platform. You will own architectural design, mentor peers, and deliver scalable React/Node.js services that integrate with social APIs.

You’ll work in a collaborative, agile environment, focusing on performance, security, and reliable deployments while guiding teammates through SDLC best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ownership of technical design for complex features in production.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, REST APIs, and SPAs.
• Strong Node.js backend and database experience.
• Understand SDLC and write maintainable, testable code.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate decisions clearly.
• Familiarity with AI development practices is a plus.

Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help lead development of innovative solutions for our platform. You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, leveraging modern technologies such as React and Node.js to build robust and scalable applications. In this senior role, you will take ownership of technical design and delivery, mentor other engineers, and help define architecture for features that integrate with social platforms and solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of full-stack web applications.
• Own technical design and architecture for complex features and services using React and Node.js, balancing performance, scalability, and security.
• Build high-performance, scalable solutions and set engineering quality bars through code review and technical guidance.
• Mentor Software Engineers and partner with product and stakeholders to translate needs into clear specifications and phased delivery plans.
• Participate in daily standups and collaborate in an agile development environment, helping the team plan and execute reliably.
• Analyze internal and customer needs, proposing technology-driven solutions and evaluating tradeoffs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, and coach others on best practices and SDLC discipline.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security, including production readiness and operational concerns for owned areas.
• Contribute to technical decision-making on integrations with social platforms and related APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• 7+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience, including substantial full-stack web development.
• Proven ownership of technical design and delivery for complex features or services in a production environment.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, REST APIs, and Single Page Applications.
• Strong experience with Node.js and backend development.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Strong understanding of SDLC principles and writing maintainable, testable code; experience guiding others in these practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and communicate technical decisions clearly.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn leveraging AI for development, such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Experience with or willingness to learn AI development best practices, such as using Vercel's AI SDK and Context Engineering.

Pay Rate

$90,000-$120,000 base salary

Base salary is determined by several factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. These factors are considered when making an offer of employment.
