The Role

Overjet is hiring entrepreneurial-minded engineers to build new AI-driven products that will improve oral health for all. Collaborating closely with our product and other cross-functional teams, you will have significant ownership over the technical delivery of the product roadmap. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of dentistry.

We encourage in-person collaboration 1-2 times a week in one of our geo-hub office locations: San Mateo, CA, Boston, MA, and NYC.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain impactful software solutions that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Develop high-performance C# applications for cloud-based imaging and real-time data processing.
  • Integrate third-party SDKs & APIs to enhance functionality.
  • Optimize cloud scalability & performance to support a cutting-edge platform.
  • Utilize WebSockets and real-time data processing for efficient data transfer.
  • Write efficient, scalable, and high-quality code, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, to drive project success.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes

Qualifications

  • Excellent academic background in Computer Science or other related field.
  • Significant relevant experience writing code and delivering products with increasing levels of responsibility, preferable as an early engineer at a start-up.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, C#, and Swift.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven track record of mentoring engineers and developing talent within the team.
  • Experience in cultivating a strong engineering culture in an iterative, agile environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical, and mission-focused environment.

We have a unique hybrid workplace at Overjet — which combines the teamwork of meeting in person, with the flexibility of working from anywhere.

Many of our positions are based in San Mateo, New York City, Boston, and Lahore. The Jetsetters who live in these “geo-hubs” come to the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while having the option to work from home the rest of the week.
