Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Bellevue, WA, to design, implement, test, review and maintain the Monetization platform and services, enabling developers to monetize apps through ads, IAP and analytics.

You will write high-quality, scalable code, ensure delivery, and drive data-driven features using rule engines and possibly ML. Telecommuting is permitted on a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field with 3 years of experience.
• 3+ years designing APIs and backend services and systems.
• 3+ years coding in Golang, Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and Key-Value stores (Postgres, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with BigQuery or data warehousing solutions.
• Experience with streaming platforms/queues (Kafka, Nats).
• Terraform for cloud infrastructure management.
• Creating Python Notebooks for data analysis.
• Coordinating product delivery end-to-end.

Job description

Senior Software Engineer, Unity Technologies SF, Bellevue, WA. Design, implement, test, review and maintain Unity’s Monetization platform, product, and services to enable developers to build a business through advertising, in-app purchases and analytics. Write high-quality and scalable code that supports the existing and future functionality of the product and ensure successful delivery. Handle system scalability, performance, process big volumes in data and system functional requirements to drive towards the use of rule engines and machine learning. Manage and deliver individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Translate business requirements into engineering features.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $170,220/yr. Standard company benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience. Must have three (3) years of experience with/in: Designing APIs and backend services and systems; Implementing and reviewing code in Golang, Nodejs, Typescript, and Python; Working with SQL, NoSQL, and KeyValue based data storage systems like Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis; Bigquery or other data warehousing solutions; Working with streaming platforms and queues such as Kafka and Nats; Using Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure; Creating Python Notebooks to analyze datasets and provide valuable insights; and Coordinating with product and delivery of product end to end. Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.

Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
