Job summary

AutoHDR in Downtown Austin is seeking elite engineers to elevate our AI-powered real estate photo editor and scale our infrastructure to support exponential growth. You will tackle AI editing pipelines, backend features, and scalable model-serving across high-volume workloads.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, end-to-end system design, and improving video and image editing workflows. We value problem-solving ability, ownership, and a bias toward practical, high-leverage solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience building high-volume, enterprise-grade systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Exceptional problem solving ability and drive to own from end-to-end delivery.
• Ability to write code by hand and build deliberate, high-leverage systems that withstand load.

Within 18 months of launch, AutoHDR scaled to $20M ARR bootstrapped.

AutoHDR is an AI real estate photo editor - now editing over 25% of US listings.

On a busy day, we edit over 300,000 photos.

About the Role

We are looking for elite engineers to help take our technology to the next level as we tackle unique AI editing and scaling challenges and push toward majority market share this year.

Engineers with strength in AI workflows, high-throughput infrastructure, complex cloud architecture, diffusion models, and/or computer vision would be a strong fit for this role.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale AI image editing systems
• Develop backend services and product features
• Design and optimize training and inference pipelines
• Build model-serving and media-processing workflows
• Optimize computer vision and related algorithms for accuracy and speed
• Improve development systems, internal tools, and automations; squash bugs
• Implement and improve full-stack features, including:
• User-facing AI image editing tools
• Automated video editing via user-created workflows

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience building high-volume, enterprise-grade systems and cloud infrastructure
• Exceptional problem solving ability. You get from A to Z with high agency - even in unfamiliar new domains.
• You must be able to write code by hand. You build deliberate, high-leverage systems that hold up under load and time. If you default to "let the agent figure it out", this role is not for you.

Compensation

180K - 280K
