Acuity Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Senior with AI/SDLC focus to lead an engineering team, write production Python code, and drive AI-enabled software architecture for enterprise use.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud-native, container-first solutions from day one and actively contribute technically in a hands-on leadership role. The role emphasizes architecture, proof-of-concept validation, and secure, scalable deployments, with hybrid on-site work in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Proven technical leadership guiding AI/SDLC initiatives.
• 8+ years of advanced Python engineering with strong OOP and typing.
• 4-5 years in AI/ML methodologies and practical deployment.
• Experience with REST APIs, cloud delivery, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
• Security fundamentals and secure DevOps practices.

Job Summary

In this role, the Software Engineer Senior will focus on AI/SDLC and Python, and influence technical direction through strong engineering judgementand collaboration. This role will technically lead a high impact AI engineering team and play a defining role in how AI-driven software is built across agrowing and ambitious organization. The Software Engineer Senior will work in close partnership with key business and technical stakeholders todefine cloud native, container first solutions designed for enterprise use from day one. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where job dutiesinclude writing production code, driving proof-of-concepts, and validating architectural decisions through implementation.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Lead the technical direction of a high impact AI engineering team, staying hands-on and setting thepace.
• Design and deliver cloud native, container first services that are built to scale and ready for realenterprise use.
• Partner closely with architects and key stakeholders to shape architecture, align on patterns, andtranslate strategy into practical engineering decisions.
• Take AI enabled capabilities from early exploration and proof-of-concept through to secure, reliable,production deployments.
• Mentor and coach engineers; Support hiring/onboarding critical talent and strengthening acollaborative culture

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

• Strong technical leadership
• 8 years of experience in Advanced Python engineering (maintainable OOP, typing, async; FastAPI preferred)
• 4-5 years of experience in AI/ML methodologies
• REST APIs and service integrations; cloud delivery (Azure preferred); containers; Kubernetes; modern CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Quality mindset (unit/integration testing, reviews); security fundamentals (AuthN/AuthZ, secure build/deploy)
• Agile collaboration; SQL and NoSQL data stores

Preferred Experience

The range for this position is$120,800.00to$261,000.00 USD. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
