Job summary

Responsibilities include implementing and validating software solutions using Java, Spring Framework, and containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, along with CI/CD practices and configuration management using Ansible.

Qualifications

• Experience using Linux CLI and Linux Tools.
• Scripting experience with Bash/Python.
• Recent Java development experience.
• Spring Framework experience (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration).
• Experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Familiar with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Bamboo, GitLab CI).
• Experience using Git for source control.

2HB Incorporated is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.

Position Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Recent software development experience using Java
• Recent software development experience using the Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Integration
• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes
• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services in a Kubernetes environment
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as Bamboo and GitLab CI
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools including Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System
