The Senior Software Development Engineer, UI will join the Delta Sync IT team, a critical function within Delta's operations. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of modern, scalable, and AI-enabled web applications that support business-critical operations and drive digital transformation across the enterprise. You will partner with cross-functional teams to create intuitive user experiences, build resilient cloud-native solutions, and implement best-in-class engineering practices that enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in front-end development, full-stack engineering, and emerging AI technologies to solve complex challenges at scale while helping Delta deliver innovative solutions for its internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and provide production support forcriticalenterpriseapplications usedby the Digital Channels team
  • Develop and maintaindevopsprocesses forcloudinfrastructure both on premises and in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Provide code reviews, training, and guidance for juniordevelopers
  • Accurately estimate deliverable timelines
  • Translatecomplexbusiness requirements intofunctionalcode
  • Write automated unit, integration, and e2etests
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical architectures and curateOpenAPIspecs
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, businesspartnersandvendors
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience in a professional capacity using XML, Typescript, Spring, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS 3, Angular 15 and above, Node, APIs, and NoSQL database.
  • Hands on Development and Experience to AWS(Preferred)/Azure Cloud Technologies is a definite plus.
  • Design thinking, Focus on Test Driven Development, Embedded Security
  • Experience with Containers, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Developer Workspace, Devops, Jenkins, Code Build/Code Pipeline, API Gateways, Lambdas, DynamoDB, Nexus, Gitlab, Agility, or related technologies
  • Quality forward development practices, with automation at the forefront for continuous quality
  • Implementations using best practices for information security
  • 5+ years' experience with using Spring MVC frameworks, Eclipse, Java, JPA, JSON, JavaScript, and API Restful / microservices services
  • Solid understanding of web/mobile application architecture and security (OAuth, JWT, Spring Security) Extensive experience implementing API's (REST) via microservices
  • 3+ years of hands-on UI development experience utilizing Responsive Design
  • Proficient in Bootstrap or Foundation frameworks
  • Processing data via JSon
  • Must have diverse experience utilizing Java tools in business, Web and client-server environments including Java Platform, J2EE, JDBC technologies and Apigee gateway platform
  • Experience or exposure to Database Design and Implementation
  • Knowledge of Multi-tier Architecture, Rational/Visio modeling
  • Experienced with UML, JUnit, Mockito, Wire Mock, Unix Scripting
  • 2+ years of experience in working in an Agile team environment
  • AI Stack: Strong experience building AI-native features using modern AI frameworks like Kiro
  • Real-Time AI Interfaces: Demonstrated ability to handle streaming responses (SSE/WebSockets), function calling/tool integration, and asynchronous background processing for AI workflows.
  • Production & Operations: Familiarity with prompt management, dynamic context assembly, token cost optimization, and AI observability tools
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
