Job summary

Amazon’s Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer to innovate in building Human Machine Interfacing Platforms for the SCS team. You will design, develop, and own back-end systems at scale, applying patterns and data structures to support large data volumes and high availability.

You will collaborate across teams to solve complex automation challenges in material handling, robotics, and industrial control systems, using ML and controls

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

This dynamic team develops and maintains tools for automating the deployment, management, and monitoring of complex material handling systems, including conveyor networks, work cells, and industrial control systems.

We are seeking a passionate Software Development Engineer to innovate in building Human Machine Interfacing Platforms to join the SCS team within the Amazon Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics organization.

We build the software and services that touch every Amazon customer globally and innovate solutions for logistics, supply chain optimization, and transportation. Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience designing large-scale distributed systems which incorporate both cloud and edge compute.
  • Experience with material handling equipment, industrial control systems, industrial networking prototols, and/or fulfillment operations.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
