Amazon’s Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics organization seeks a Software Development Engineer to build Human Machine Interfaces and back-end systems for material handling and automation at scale.

You will solve complex problems, design scalable systems, and mentor teams while collaborating across ML and controls domains to optimize fulfillment operations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

We are a team of innovative problem-solvers dedicated to revolutionizing warehouse automation through innovative solutions at Amazon's scale. This dynamic team develops and maintains tools for automating the deployment, management, and monitoring of complex material handling systems, including conveyor networks, work cells, and industrial control systems.

We are seeking a passionate Software Development Engineer to innovate in building Human Machine Interfacing Platforms to join the SCS team within the Amazon Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics organization.

Amazon’s Operations Technology teams are the technical engines that support Amazon’s mission of being Earth’s most customer-centric company. We build the software and services that touch every Amazon customer globally and innovate solutions for logistics, supply chain optimization, and transportation. Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • Experience designing large-scale distributed systems which incorporate both cloud and edge compute.

  • Experience with material handling equipment, industrial control systems, industrial networking prototols, and/or fulfillment operations.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
