Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States
Job ID: #25-0538

Compensation Range: $95,000 - 125,000 per year

Onsite Status: Hybrid (combination of WFH and in-person work)

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain high-quality test automation code within Tideworks' framework, ensuring maintainability and efficiency.
2. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Testers, and Support teams to review specifications, debug issues, and ensure product quality.
3. Design and implement automated tests across all tiers of the architecture, and develop robust automation suites.
4. Contribute to test strategy, plans, and framework enhancements to improve testing effectiveness and scalability.
5. Leverage DevOps tools for automation of build, integration, and testing processes.
6. Perform static code analysis to identify vulnerabilities and improve code quality.
7. Engage in code reviews and apply BDD and TDD methodologies to identify defects early.
8. Develop structured test cases for new features, organize into repeatable test suites, and participate in estimation exercises.
9. Mentor junior team members and contribute to team knowledge through documentation and sharing.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience as an SDET, Developer, Automation Engineer, or similar role.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Scala).
• Experience with automation activities, including performance, security, and build verification testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD frameworks like Jenkins is a plus.
• Experience working in an agile environment preferred.
