Description

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Tyler Technologies, you will play a vital role in ensuring our public safety solutions work reliably and efficiently at scale, supporting first responders with software used on the front lines of law enforcement, fire rescue, and public safety agencies across the United States.

You will be responsible for advancing testing practices by increasing automation, expanding test coverage, coaching team members, and collaborating with designers, product owners, engineers, and release managers to ensure quality and readiness for releases. Hands-on testing will also be part of your role to support ongoing releases and drive improvements in testing practices and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Have a rich background in testing across a variety of current technologies.
• Contribute to and maintain automation tests and frameworks.
• Advocate for change and facilitate collaborative discussions to improve testing processes.
• Promote a culture of quality and support the adoption of test automation within product teams.
• Develop innovative solutions for complex testing challenges.
• Provide product teams with effective automation tools and frameworks.
• Guide teams on test coverage levels (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Define and communicate quality metrics and assess risk based on key indicators.
