About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer on the Cash & Liquidity Management team works collaboratively with technology and business teams to build new features and enhancements for our API and money movement platforms, helping our clients develop innovative investing solutions at scale.

At DriveWealth's growth inflection point, this role offers two main opportunities: addressing technical challenges related to increasing volumes and gaining knowledge of the money movement aspect of finance.

What You'll Do

• Hands-on software development to understand and handle various money flows
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders
• Work with the Cash & Liquidity Management team to architect and design new systems
• Maintain and enhance existing systems
• Integrate with vendor banking-as-a-service APIs
• Understand real-world money movement workflows in banking and automate manual operational processes

What You'll Need

• 7+ years of backend software development experience using OOP/Functional principles in Java or other JVM languages like Kotlin or Scala
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
• Proficiency with Spring Boot, OpenAPI, message queuing frameworks (AMQ, Kinesis, SQS, Kafka), Redis, DynamoDB, Postgres, or similar technologies
• Experience in cloud-based microservices environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• Experience with compute/container platforms such as AWS EC2, K8s
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, gitflow, and git actions
• Strong coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, logging, monitoring, and alerting skills
• Understanding of system architecture, trade-offs, and collaborative design
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial backend systems
• Mentoring experience
• Experience with performance tuning

Compensation

Salary ranges from $175,000 to $200,000 USD, based on experience and qualifications. The role is hybrid, with in-office expectations set by the team.
