Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Denver seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to own the design and delivery of secure authentication and authorization systems in the cloud. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to protect sensitive surfaces and scale services globally.

You will mentor junior engineers and drive architectural decisions while delivering high-performance, reliable software solutions in a fast-moving environment.

About The Team

AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) is at the foundation of every AWS service and every customer interaction with the cloud. Our team builds the systems that customers and services rely on to authenticate and authorize access across the world's most widely adopted cloud platform. We operate at massive scale, processing billions of requests per day with extremely high availability requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
