Job summary

CSG is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications. You will lead projects, architect solutions, and mentor junior developers while integrating AI capabilities and APIs.

Strong architecture knowledge and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success in a fast-paced, compliance-conscious environment. You will work with .NET/C#, React, Python, AWS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL, with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong .NET/C# and React experience.
• Experience with Python, AWS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• CI/CD pipelines experience, including Azure DevOps.
• Unit and integration testing frameworks experience.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture and system design.
• Experience with API contracts and interface design.
• Experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI safety considerations.
• Observability and logging best practices.
• Experience in regulated/compliance-sensitive environments.
• Ability to work in small, cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in business English.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications or systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create efficient and reliable software solutions, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who will:

• Lead software development projects with limited guidance from more senior developers.
• Architect and design complex software solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior developers.
• Analyze and optimize code and system performance independently.
• Clarify ambiguous requirements into structured, testable detail such as edge cases and constraints.
• Define edge cases and failure modes up front
• Develop and consume APIs including AI APIs to integrate AI capabilities into existing software
• Validate AI-generated code for security, performance, and correctness.
• Use AI coding assistants as part of an iterative AI-human development process.
• Write testable, modular code and participate in unit and integration testing.
• Work within documented change controls and compliance-sensitive environments.
• Participate in requirements and technical specification reviews.
• Collaborate effectively across Development, QA, Operations, and Product teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with .NET/C# and React.
• Experience with Python, AWS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Azure DevOps.
• Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture and system design.
• Experience working from functional and technical requirements, including requirements that may be incomplete or ambiguous.
• Understanding of API contracts and interface design from both consumer and producer perspectives.
• Familiarity with versioned contract design and backward compatibility considerations.
• Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated code for security, performance, correctness, and maintainability.
• Understanding of prompt engineering fundamentals, including structured prompts and refinement loops.
• Understanding of AI limitations and hallucination risks.
• Experience with AWS deployment and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with observability and logging best practices.
• Experience working in compliance-sensitive or regulated environments, with an understanding of auditability, traceability, and documented change controls.
• Experience working effectively within small, cross-functional feature teams.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment
