CVS Health is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Aetna Technology team. This remote role focuses on building a next-generation platform for digital health products, leveraging AI/ML, NLP, and GenAI techniques to deliver scalable solutions and improve customer outcomes.

The engineer will contribute to enterprise-grade applications, work with cloud platforms, containers, data stores, and modern DevOps practices, and participate in an agile team driving innovative health tech

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development.
• 2+ years in AI/ML-focused projects.
• 2+ years of Python and experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• 2+ years' experience with Gen AI/LLM/NLP/MLOps or similar.
• Backend development experience (enterprise-class apps).
• Knowledge of NLP and prompt engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to set up and optimize data stores (RDBMS/NoSQL).
• Experience fine-tuning LLMs/SLMs; Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of architecture for scalable data pipelines.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
