Job summary

Google is seeking a software engineer to work on Android XR and related platforms. You will contribute to next-generation technologies across XR, AI, and large-scale systems, with opportunities to switch teams as the business grows.

Responsibilities include writing and testing code, leading design reviews, reviewing others' code, contributing to documentation, and triaging issues to maintain high performance, reliability, and security at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years in testing, maintaining, or launching software products and 1 year in software design/architecture.
• 3 years developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks.

We support developers, partners and stakeholders to deliver on a regular cadence, with maximum velocity and trust.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $174000 - $253000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
Canada: $182000 - $187000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
