Job summary

General Dynamics - IT (GDIT) seeks a Software Developer to own key development tasks, guide teams, and deliver robust software in a cloud-enabled environment. The role focuses on Angular front-ends, Java back-ends, and a strong DevOps mindset to support the Intelligence Community mission on customer-site operations.

The candidate should bring 8+ years of experience, BA/BS, and hands-on capabilities with GIT, Jenkins, REST/SOAP web services, and Linux environments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Angular
• Experience with Java
• Experience with GIT and Jenkins
• Experience with webservice design and development
• Experience with continuous integration, test automation and DevOps
• Familiar with Linux environments
• Translate system requirements into complex interfaces
• Knowledge of JDBC/ODBC or direct DB interfaces

Responsibilities

• Owns phases of the software development lifecycle, providing guidance to teams
• Leads developers in using Angular and collaborating across programs
• Analyzes user business needs to design software systems
• Creates models and diagrams to guide coding efforts
• Prepares reports on project specifications and status
• May lead less experienced analysts and act as consultant
• Supports multiple programs and contracts within a division
