Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking software engineers to help build the next-generation AI agent platforms. You will work on projects across information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, and security, with opportunities to switch teams as the business grows.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 5 years of experience with one or more of the following: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

• Design and build recommendation systems for AI Agents.
• Develop skill discovery and matching capabilities for AI Agents.
• Develop and implement investigative tools for AI Agent performance.
• Manage stakeholders effectively and solve ambiguous technical issues, contributing to the overall strategy and roadmap for the team.
• Provide coaching to your team, and contribute to Google's culture and operations.

• 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.


• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.


• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.


• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end developer journey, covering Build, Evaluate, Optimize, Deploy, and Monitor phases. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Canada: $182000 - $186000 (CAD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
