Job summary

Enterprise Engineering Services (EES) in Reston, VA, is seeking a full-time Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software for FAA-related programs using Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms.

You will participate in architecture reviews, translate requirements into scalable code, collaborate with engineers and cybersecurity specialists, and contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps while ensuring compliance and quality across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Public Trust clearance obtainable
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience
• Strong knowledge of FAA standards
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
• Experience developing software using Java, Angular, Spring Boot, or similar technologies
• Experience developing applications within cloud or hybrid environments
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with DevSecOps practices
• Experience developing RESTful APIs
• Experience working within microservices architectures

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews to shape technical direction.
• Translate system and business requirements into clean, scalable code.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
• Support CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines to keep development moving smoothly.
• Perform code reviews, develop and execute unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Create technical documentation and ensure compliance with federal standards.
• Contribute to verification and validation activities and modernization efforts.
