United Airlines seeks a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain critical applications with a focus on cloud-based solutions. You will lead and collaborate with teams, drive quality, and contribute to enterprise-grade integration efforts.

The role emphasizes AWS technologies, scalable architectures, and active participation in an Agile environment, with opportunities for technical leadership and impact across the Digital Technology organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, ECE, MIS, or related field.
• 3+ years in design, development, testing, and debugging of software systems.
• Experience implementing AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, API Gateway, etc.).
• Experience with Git, Python/Bash/PowerShell scripting.
• Backend API development using Node.js, Java, and Python.
• Strong knowledge of Spring, SQL, NoSQL, Design Patterns, and messaging/APM tools.
• Excellent OO design and development, proactive communication.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert on development projects.
• Create application framework, reusable components, and coding guidelines.
• Understand deployment practices and pipelines.
• Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
