BEUMER Group is seeking a Senior Software Developer to work on airport projects, bridging software solutions with physical systems. The role needs someone passionate about software development with strong knowledge in Java, C#, and object-oriented design, contributing to innovative baggage handling systems. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team, traveling to install and test project implementations.
Are you motivated by making complicated software take physical form? Do you want to go behind the scenes at airports around the world and help millions of travellers' luggage arrive safely?
At BEUMER Group, you won't be isolated behind a screen. Everyday life is full of different interfaces, and you always work closely with your colleagues on projects. We are not a classic software house – our software connects all the complex physical parts into one unified system.
Developing state of the art systems
We are a leader in baggage handling at airports, and we support all our colleagues in keeping up to date with the latest developments so that we can continue to deliver the best systems in the world. You will be part of a software organization of approx. 180 specialists who are ready to challenge you professionally – and to be challenged.
In your daily work, you will be part of a project team consisting of around 10 colleagues. When a project is handed over to the customer, you'll also pack your own suitcase and travel with the team to participate in the final tests and adjustments on-site – and see your project go live.
As a Software Developer with us, in addition to developing software, you will also participate in parts or the entire project, from analysis and testing to system commissioning including:
Move mountains with software
The ideal candidate's interest lies in getting in touch with the entire software development palette for complex systems. You will have the opportunity to get your hands into back-end, databases, algorithms, GUI, configuration and testing. Moreover, we expect that you have a keen interest in and ability to combine distributed software systems with electronics and mechanics. In addition, we hope that you bring the following qualifications to the job:
