Overview

The Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) team at AspenTech is a high‑growth area that develops critical software for electric distribution utilities. Our mission is to help customers monitor, manage, control, and optimize complex grids in real‑time operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mission‑critical distribution grid management applications using C/C++.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to design and implement robust, high‑performance features from requirements and user stories.
• Apply best practices in design and implementation, including design reviews, code reviews, and unit testing.
• Provide technical support to product management, delivery, and customer support teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, diagnosing root causes and devising effective solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Co‑mentor and coach other developers on technologies and processes used within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in back‑end development with C/C++.
• Experience with platform‑independent tools, libraries, APIs, and daemon processes.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Salary
