Job summary

HCSS, based in Sugar Land, TX, is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Development team and contribute to high-value .NET projects. You will work on OO design, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based services to improve product reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with peers to drive feature delivery, elevate code quality through reviews and testing, and mentor junior developers in best practices. Remote-friendly with strong employee benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience with .NET using object oriented programming.
• Azure cloud concepts (App Services, Functions, App Insights, scaling).
• CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and slot-based deployment.
• Proficiency in .NET 4.0+, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Javascript, Typescript, CSS & React.js.
• SQL and DB concepts (design, stored procedures, basic TSQL).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with ORM such as Entity Framework or Dapper.

Responsibilities

• Analyze assigned HCSS product, database schema, and architecture for ROI improvements.
• Implement features for assigned HCSS product with significant scope.
• Collaborate with other developers to enhance infrastructure and reliability.
• Share best practices at planning, retrospectives, and daily standups.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers in software design, development, and testing.

WHO WE NEED

We’re currently looking for a Senior Software Developer with 5+ years of development experience using .NET object oriented programming to join our high-performing Development team and provide our customers with quality service. If you're a fit, the following things should sound like you:

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience in .NET using object oriented programming
• Expert knowledge of Azure cloud concepts such as: App Services, Azure Functions, App Insights, and app service plans (scaling)
• Expert knowledge of CI/CD concepts such as: Build and release pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and slot-based deployment
• Strong knowledge of .NET 4.0+, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Javascript, Typescript, CSS, and React.JS
• Solid working knowledge of SQL and associated database concepts (DB design and architecture, stored procedures, and basic TSQL queries)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs
• Experience with ORM such as Entity Framework or Dapper

Role Responsibilities

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel to our office may be requested up to once or twice a year
