Role

As a Software Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to work across several applications supporting the customer’s development activity. A typical day will include:

• Using SharePoint skills and third party tools to create tailored solutions, including making enhancements to existing websites.
• Building and managing intranet site with integrated analytics using custom software.
• Working both with an existing team and independently on customer projects.
• Utilizing client-side scripting and web technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, SPS, XML, XPath, CSS and AJAX.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Minimum of 6 years related experience.

Technical Skills

• Designs and builds web pages using Joomla and WordPress templates.
• Supports Web-based applications including online customer service for agency components to deliver their services online.
• Builds websites from concept to completion, implementing client requirements and delivering innovative design layouts.
• Supports site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website, and interfaces to applications.
• HTML coding, 508 compliance, graphics and content updates, web crawls, and analytics reports; 508 compliance experience with Joomla/WordPress.
• Experience developing Web-based applications from concept to completion and implementing customer requirements.
• Experience developing the site concept, interface design and architecture of the website.

Required Skills/Experience

• Experience designing custom web applications for SharePoint 2013 or 2016 using MS Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer and third party tools.
• Client-side scripting and web technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, SPS, XML, XPath, CSS and AJAX.
• Data migration from Lotus Notes databases to SharePoint and/or web environments.
• Design, develop, and implement software in line with development processes to create efficient methods.
• Contribute to and improve software development processes.
• Build and manage intranet site with integrated analytics using custom software.
• Create new pages, forms, dashboards and reports syncing with other databases to provide up-to-date information for business decisions.
• Confirm project requirements by reviewing program objectives, input data, and output requirements with analysts, supervisors and clients.
• Create workflow charts and diagrams using programming and logic.
• Analyze data in the corporate database, identify data integrity issues and implement solutions.
• Create testing environments with detailed test plans and test cases to determine bugs and improve efficiencies.
• Experience with reverse engineering of legacy applications and database environments.
• Agile development solutions to resolve high-priority issues.

Desired Skills

• Competent in SharePoint design and/or web-based application development.
• Understanding of all phases of the MS Software Development Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of cycle and process methodologies.
• Knowledge of relational database design and web technologies.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, small team environment under minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of databases, MS operating systems, MS Office suites, antivirus software and Backup/Recovery Software.
• Provide Lotus Notes support to existing users.
• Knowledge of or experience with WordPress.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience incorporating usability best practices.
• Experience with server-side scripting using PowerShell and/or Ansible.
