Job summary

Amazon Leo CT SW Team in Redmond is seeking a Senior Software Dev Engineer to design and deploy embedded software for Project Kuiper devices. You will work across requirements, design, code, test, and deployment in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes real-time embedded programming in C/C++, Rust, and assembly, with Linux/RTOS expertise and prior leadership or mentorship experience. The position is in WA, with full SDLC ownership and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.

A day in the life

As part of our Amazon Leo CT SW Team, you will design and implement embedded software used in the Project Kuiper products. You will work in a collaborative environment with teams inside and outside of Amazon. You will craft your software from requirements, designs, code, test, to product deployment. You need to be flexible and responsive to changing priority issues.

About the team

The Amazon Leo CT SW Team supports the devices that connect our customers to the Kuiper network. We provide software for both applications and the underlying Linux system. We work hand in hand with hardware, product and operations teams to deliver a great experience for our customers.

Basic Qualifications
