Job summary

DeWinter Group is seeking a Senior Software Data Quality Engineer to drive testing strategy for data pipelines, ML models, and rule-based applications in veterinary clinical insights. Remote EST hours, collaborative cross-functional teams, and agile ceremonies shape the role.

You will build test plans, advance automation, validate platforms, and communicate risks and metrics to stakeholders, with emphasis on data quality and reliability across distributed environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automation testing experience with Python.
• Strong SQL skills for test data and environments.
• Experience designing and executing test plans meeting requirements.
• Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and AWS.
• Knowledge of data quality, system, UI, and integration testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum teams with strong communication.
• Ability to assess risk and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for data pipelines, integrations, and applications.
• Drive automation testing efforts, exploratory testing, and validation of platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, DevOps, and product owners across remote locations.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and technical strategy discussions in a Scrum environment.
• Continuously learn new technologies and improve testing practices to elevate data quality standards.
• Document, communicate, and analyze test results and metrics to inform decisions and risk assessments.
